Best Plants Series – Dwarf Mexican Petunia

We get many questions from customers on what our favorite plants to use in North Texas are. So many Ken has recorded a “Best Plants Series.” Today we wanted to show you one of our favorite plants to use, the Dwarf Mexican Petunia. It is another favorite because it is what we like to call a flame-proof plant. The hotter and dryer it gets, the happier it becomes. It will eventually grow to be about a foot or so tall and will fill in. The one thing you have to watch out for is it spreading more than wanted (the non-dwarf variety of this plant is very aggressive and like bamboo.) If you need a dwarf plant to put in the foreground of a landscape with some nice color, you should consider the Dwarf Mexican Petunia.
