Mid-Summer Lawn Update for North Texas

Considering our February freeze, I’m not surprised that our summer has been relatively weird for North Texas. Our July has been cool and wet, so most lawns in the area are lush and green as we head into August (which is not typical.)

In today’s video I’ll share with you everything we’ve been seeing in our customer’s lawns, as well as some great takeaways about the importance of proper watering.

There is one crucial thing I bring up toward the end of my mid-summer lawn update. It is about chinch bugs which are, in my opinion, the biggest threat to North Texas lawns. We’re heading into the time of year when we see less rain and temperatures will get hot, and lawns become dry. This is the kind of weather chinch bugs thrive in, and make no mistake, they can destroy your yard.
