The second half of our late winter visit is a pre-emergent. Pre-emergents create a barrier in the lawn that prevents the weed seeds from being able to grow. Not sure if pre-emergents work? Check out this photo of a Garland lawn that is next to a field.
What does our late winter lawn care visit control? Our visit does two things. We mix a pre and post-emergent together and apply it to the lawn. The photo above was taken in Garland and shows what broadleaf weeds look like about 10 days after we have treated. Notice the leaves are curling and the plant looks unhappy? The next time the lawn is cut this weed will become stressed and eventually disappear.
